The story of the hare and the tortoise as well as the story of the lion and the mouse; symbolic stories that remind us of what would be simple life messages. As children we could appreciate these stories yet it is not until now that we come to see them in its pure symbolic form. Stories, symbolic of virtues, only appear to be recognized and appreciated later though, once the beauty is obvious to others.
Just like we wait to make profit from an investment before exclaiming about how beneficial it is, have we initially been waiting for the chance to demonstrate our abilities to the outside world so we can confidently share these stories and the value we got from them? Transformation is what is being promised in so many areas of our lives yet are we to only act on them if they will be obvious to others?
With the thousands of stories that were shared as our generation grew older:
- What stories have stayed with you?
- What stories lay the foundation for you to transform into a better version of yourself?
- What stories could you use to add value to others?
Through stories we pass on valuable life lessons. Lessons that would die with the generation that held them.
- What stories can we share today to help the world move towards a better future?
